Software license terms
License terms
About the license
These terms govern use of Webbuild Products software. A purchase grants a right to use the software under the selected package; it does not transfer intellectual property ownership.
Each product page describes features, requirements and available packages. Any product-specific conditions are stated before purchase. These terms supplement the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Last updated: 9 October 2026.
Packages and installations
Business Registry has two packages with the same features:
- 1 installation: one license key for one active installation.
- 3 installations: one license key for up to three active installations.
Purchase quantity means separate license keys. For example, two licenses of the 3-installation package provide two keys, each with a three-installation limit. Other products may offer different packages, as stated on their product pages.
Activation and domain changes
Activation binds the license to the installation's specific hostname. A domain does not automatically cover all its subdomains.
Customers can manage activations through their accounts. Moving an installation requires releasing the previous activation so that the package limit is respected. A license does not permit more simultaneous installations than purchased.
Activation and validity checks require communication with the Webbuild licensing service. The module may restrict features requiring an active license if the license is not activated, has expired, has been revoked or has been suspended. Releasing an earlier installation does not permit continued use of that license on that installation.
License duration
The duration of each purchased license is determined by the product and plan stated at checkout. Business Registry paid licenses have no expiry date, subject to compliance with these terms. The right to use the software is separate from the duration of updates and support.
Complimentary and trial licenses may have an expiry date disclosed when issued. A full refund of the purchase or revocation for breach of these terms ends the right to use the affected license.
Updates and support
Each purchased Business Registry license includes:
- Software updates without a time limit for Business Registry, covering future releases of the same product that we make available. This does not promise that new releases will be published indefinitely.
- 6 months of support from purchase for installation, configuration and use of existing features.
Expiry of the six-month support period does not end the Business Registry license or its eligibility for available software updates. It does not promise continuing compatibility with future versions of third-party software or services.
Custom development, installation work performed by us and server configuration are agreed separately. Support is provided through the Contact page, without a guaranteed response time or an obligation to develop new features. Additional technical support after the included six months can be requested through the Contact page, is subject to a separate quotation, and is not automatically charged. Other software products may offer different license, update and support durations, disclosed on their product pages.
Permitted use
You may use the software for your business or install it for a client within the package activation limit. You remain responsible for managing the license. Charging for installation or configuration services does not constitute resale of the software.
Redistributing or reselling the software as a standalone product, publishing license keys, bypassing activation or offering the product as a subscription SaaS service to third parties is not permitted without separate written permission.
Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licenses or mandatory law.
Purchases and Refund Policy
Online purchases processed by Paddle are sold by Paddle as the authorized reseller / Merchant of Record. WebBuild provides the purchased software, the WebBuild license and product support. For purchases processed through a different provider, the provider identified at checkout and its applicable terms govern payment processing. The checkout shows the final amount, applicable taxes and discounts before payment.
Refund Policy — Paddle purchases
Refund and withdrawal requests for Paddle purchases may be submitted through the "Manage transaction" link in the Paddle purchase email, or through Paddle Buyer Support. See the Paddle Refund Policy for the applicable conditions. For a duplicate charge, delivery problem, or software that does not match its description, you may also contact [email protected] with your order reference; this does not replace your right to contact Paddle.
Where applicable, consumers in the EU/EEA and certain other jurisdictions have a 14-calendar-day statutory withdrawal right for eligible online purchases, subject to the law and applicable exceptions. For digital software supplied immediately, that right can be lost once performance begins only where the legally required prior express consent, acknowledgment of losing the right, and confirmation have been provided. Simply downloading or receiving a license key does not by itself establish that those legal requirements were met. Rights relating to defective or non-conforming software remain unaffected.
Outside statutory rights or the Paddle Refund Policy, WebBuild offers no additional unconditional, no-reason refund guarantee. When a full refund has been approved, the corresponding paid license is suspended or revoked, while the transaction record is retained as required. A partial refund does not by itself terminate an otherwise valid license. Refunds are handled by the applicable payment provider, normally to the original payment method. These terms do not limit any mandatory consumer rights.
Business Registry purchases include a perpetual software license, lifetime updates for the same product while updates are made available, and six months of included technical support, as specified under Updates and support. License, update and support durations for other products are determined by the purchased plan; they are separate entitlements.
